Consistent results, always appreciated.

Compared to some other API providers I've used, Cloro is just reliably good. My Real-time Search API credits always seem to be calculated fairly, and I never have to worry about unexpected charges. Been using them for a while now and they're consistently solid.

Easy to use API

I needed to pull some stuff from Google Search for a side project. Signed up for Cloro, and honestly, it was pretty straightforward. The Google Search API worked as advertised, no weird hiccups or anything. Just got what I needed done, and it felt pretty simple to integrate. Happy with it.

Good value for basic needs

I was looking for a decent AI Search Scraper API without breaking the bank. The free API credits they offered for signing up were super helpful. Got to test it out properly before committing. The annual billing discount also looked pretty good, which sealed the deal for me. Felt like a solid purchase overall.

Decent tool, some small issues

I used Cloro's AI Overview Scraper for some data collection. On the positive side, the structured markdown output was genuinely useful and saved me a lot of parsing time. The API itself was generally reliable, and I got my data without much fuss. However, there were a couple of instances where the response times felt a bit slower than expected during peak hours. Not a deal-breaker, but definitely something they could improve. Customer support was quick to respond when I had a question about credit usage, which was good.

Detailed Cloro experience

I signed up for Cloro primarily for the ChatGPT Scraper and the Markdown Extraction Tool. The ordering process was smooth, just picked a plan and got my API key instantly. Integration was surprisingly easy; the documentation was clear enough that I had it running in my application within an hour. I specifically needed the markdown output, and it delivered exactly that-clean, formatted content from ChatGPT responses. Delivery of the scraped data via the API was consistent and fast, never had any timeouts. I did have a question about the credit calculation for complex queries, and their API Integration Support got back to me within a few hours with a clear explanation. Quality of the extracted data was high; no weird formatting or missing sections. It's been a reliable tool for getting structured AI outputs for my project, and it definitely met my expectations for usability and performance.

Thinking of moving all my scraping to Cloro, especially for the Google AI Overview stuff. Anyone had good or bad experiences with their uptime and reliability for enterprise-level use?

R RahulK 1 month ago
Uptime has been mostly good, but I did notice a slight dip in response times on weekends sometimes, nothing critical though. Their structured data extraction is pretty decent too, saves a lot of post-processing.

Weekends? Interesting, maybe traffic spikes.

We've been using Cloro for about six months for our SEO data collection, including some AI overview scraping. Uptime has been solid for us, honestly. Had one minor hiccup last month but it was resolved pretty quickly, like within an hour. For enterprise, I'd say they're legit.

Are you on an annual plan? Wondering if that gets better support.

Good to know. Our current provider has been a bit shaky lately.

Following. Also curious about the AI Overview scraping, specifically how it handles citations. Is it reliable?

R RahulK 1 month ago
Yeah, it's been a game-changer for content planning.

The citation extraction is actually one of their strengths, in my opinion. It's surprisingly accurate.

Just got hit with a higher renewal price for my annual Cloro plan. Anyone else notice this? Feels a bit steep compared to what I started with.

R RahulK 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, same here. My early adopter discount ended, so it jumped up. I think they mentioned it when I signed up but forgot about it.

T techfreak 3 weeks ago
Ah, that makes sense. I probably had one of those too.

N NikhilS 3 weeks ago
Did you try talking to support? Sometimes they can offer something if you explain your situation, especially if you've been a long-term user.

T techfreak 3 weeks ago
Good point, I'll try that.

Mine stayed the same. Are you on a different plan maybe?

Could be. I'm on a Pro plan with some custom limits.

I'm on Pro too, no change for me.

Thinking about getting Cloro for scraping Google AI Overviews. Anyone tried that specific feature? Does it actually work well for those summaries?

N NikhilK 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I've used it for AI Overviews. It's pretty solid, captures most of the content. Sometimes the formatting needs a little cleanup but that's typical for scraping.

A Amit 1 month ago
Good question, Rahul. Citations are critical for me.

R Rahul87 1 month ago
How about the citations? Does it get those too?

Mine worked straight out of the box. No major complaints.

C coolboy88 1 month ago
Following this, looking into AIO scraping myself.

D Deepak 1 month ago
I tried it for a bit, worked fine for basic extraction. For super complex AI overviews, I found I had to tweak the selectors a bit more than usual. But it's doable.

Is that a Cloro issue or just how AIOs are structured?

Just got hit with a higher renewal price for Cloro's annual plan. Anyone else seeing this? I thought annual plans usually had a discount baked in.

A AmitM 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, the annual discount is usually for the first year. After that, it reverts to the standard rate unless you catch another promo. I'd check if they have any current volume discounts if your usage has gone up.

S Sneha22 1 week ago
That makes sense. My usage has definitely increased.

D deepu 1 week ago
Good point about volume discounts. Thanks!

R Rahul 1 week ago
Mine went up last year too. I think the initial signup discount wears off. I reached out to support and they offered a small loyalty discount, but it wasn't as good as the new user promo.

S Sneha22 1 week ago
Oh, so it's not just me then. That's a bit annoying.

C coolboy88 1 week ago
Did you try negotiating a bit more? Sometimes they budge.

I'm still on the free trial right now, so not there yet. But good to know for when I commit. Does Cloro have a student discount for developers? I'm trying to get some free credits if possible.
9
P Pooja 1 week ago
They do have a developer discount, but I'm not sure if it's specifically for students. Check their pricing page, there's usually a link for it.
6
R Rahul 1 week ago
I think there's a startup plan too, which might offer some perks.

I'm working on a project that needs to pull real-time search results. Can Cloro actually do that, or is it more for cached data?

A Alex Z. 1 month ago
It's real-time. That's one of their main selling points, especially for Google and AI stuff.
1
A Amber Okafor 1 month ago
Yep, it's designed for real-time. I use it for monitoring SERPs and it pulls fresh data every time. No issues with stale results.

What's the deal with promo codes? Looking to save a bit if I can. Any Cloro coupons floating around?

D Daisy 2 months ago
I haven't seen many direct promo codes honestly. They mostly do discounts for annual plans or if you're a startup on a specific program.
6
K Kate 2 months ago
I think they sometimes have beta tester access deals or for early adopters. Usually it's more about annual commitments for a discount than coupon codes you find online, afaik.

Thinking about getting Cloro for my dev projects. Is it really better than something like SerpApi or Bright Data?

T Tara Foster 1 month ago
I used SerpApi for a while, Cloro's AI Overview scraping and structured data output is a game changer for my LLM stuff. Much cleaner.
5
A Anna 1 month ago
Depends what you need. If you're doing heavy Google scraping, some of the others might be cheaper per call, but Cloro's markdown output is super handy if you're feeding it into AI models. Saves a ton of parsing work.

hey does Cloro offer any free credits or a trial so I can test it out before committing to a plan?

M Megan 2 months ago
Yeah, they give you some free credits when you sign up. Enough to kick the tires and see if it works for your use case.
6
L Lisa 2 months ago
Yep, free trial is pretty standard. I got like 100 free credits when I joined last month, gave me a good feel for the API before I paid for anything.
